Having set up the business in 1998 I have strived to give my clients the best advice possible whatever their area of need may be.
Primarily through word of mouth the number of clients that we look after has grown over the years and we have had to expand our team to ensure we can continue to offer the level of service they expect. We now also have an office in Broughty Ferry as well as the original Perth office.
About
In 1998 I set up my own business as an Independent Financial Adviser successfully operating from an office base in Perth and over a number of years I built up a large and loyal client base largely through personal recommendations.
Along the way I gained the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and in 2019 I sat and passed the AF7 qualification via the Chartered Insurance Institute meaning that I now have specialist knowledge and skills on safeguarded pension benefits such as Final Salary Pension Schemes.
For many years now I have provided my clients with mortgage advice helping them to purchase or remortgage their home including buy to let mortgages.
In 2013 I joined St. James's Place as a Partner Practice with the primary objective of being able to offer my client’s the best possible service by taking advantage of the investment management approach. I believe that to date all at DFS Financial Consultancy and our clients who have been introduced to St. James's Place have enjoyed the experience and we are all looking forward to what lies ahead.
I am married to Debbie and the two youngest kids Sophie and Caragh live with us in St Madoes, Perth. My eldest kids Sean and Hannah have their own homes having first taken the appropriate mortgage advice from their father of course.
We spend much of our leisure time pursuing the various sporting activities we are involved in from the gym to golf.
